Srushti started to get ready for her UPSC examination in her 3rd year as an engineering student. When she graduated, she wondered if engineering would make her happy. Later, she realized her dream was civil services and started to focus on the field. Her parents urged her to concentrate on civils, and find a job serving the public. She aimed her efforts at becoming a IAS officer. For UPSC to be a reality the hard work of a lifetime is needed. When she was preparing for her engineering classes, she used to also prepare different subjects in UPSC. Every day, she set aside time for exam preparation. She completed her engineering tests in only one-and-a-half months, avoiding social life. The focus she believes is crucial to be able to pass the examination for government jobs and be able to work in civil service. She was determined to get through the test in one go, and she was able to put in a lot of effort. Daily, she would read the papers to stay on top on the current news. Rajya Sabha TV, online resources and other study tools proved to be a great help for her. IAS Srushti Deskmukh IAS Srushti Deskmukh released her publication titled The Answer Writing manual.
