Yael Stein Yael Stein, who is Australian living in New York City since 2013, played Lorna Morrello on Orange Is the New Black. Yael received her NIDA degree. Yael was fortunate enough from a very young stage to be a part of the best storytellers and performers in Australia and pioneers within the TV, film and theatre industry. Yael has a very professional career that has been a success in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael discovered her new home in New York City when the production was acclaimed in the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael was the co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery encourages innovative writing, and creative endeavors through it's Bushwick studio.
